TRAVEL

Please see the travel section of the official website of Bratislava city.

For travel by plane you may choose to fly to Bratislava Airport in Slovakia or Vienna (Schwechat) International Airport in Austria, about 45 km from Bratislava. Please note that several flights to Bratislava Airport by the Slovak Airlines/Austrian Airlines were temporarily suspended or redirected to Vienna Airport.

There is a regular shuttle bus service from Vienna International Airport to the Bratislava Bus Station. The timetable is available here. The price of a shuttle ticket is approximately 10 Eur plus a small fee for luggage. Please see below how you can get from the Bratislava Bus Station to the conference venue by public transport.

Participants arriving to the Bratislava Airport can either take taxi or the bus no. 61 (timetable). For transport from the Train station see the instructions below.

Those arriving in Bratislava by bus to the Bratislava Bus Station can take taxi or public transport to reach the conference venue or hotels in the city centre. The best public transport link is bus no. 70, in the direction of Novy Most (New Bridge - the one you can see on the picture on this webpage). Get off the bus at the terminus close to the bridge. The conference venue as well as the two hotels where most participants are accommodated (Carlton and Ibis) are within walking distance (see the map).

Those arriving in Bratislava by train to the Bratislava Train Station can either take taxi or tram no. 13. Get off the tram at Namestie Ludovita Stura (Square Ludovit Stur). The conference venue as well as hotel Carlton are within walking distance (see the map). If you want to get from the Train Station to the hotel Ibis you can take bus no. 93 and get off at the stop Zochova (3rd stop).

Those arriving by car should park at one of the carparks in the city centre and walk to the conference venue using the map. The venue is located in the pedestrian zone so no car access is possible.

You can find more information on public transport in Bratislava here. Tickets are sold at the ticket machines at public transport stops (exact amount in Slovak crowns is required) or in newspaper stands.
